A night out with the girls...

I’ve always prided on remaining a woman.
I’m not just a mother.
I wear many hats.

So I go out on occasion.

The kids are in bed.

I enjoy my time with friends.

Their dad does the same.

Last friday night, my friend Betty asked me to go out with her & her friends.
I kept saying no then gave in.

The girls & I had a blast.

We laugh like crazy & act immature some might say.

I've been exhausted since we went out Friday night.
I miss my sleep I lost.
I feel old.
:)

A sad Sunday...

Well I received some sad news this morning.
K's hubby's grandma died.

She was older & SO super sweet.

She cared for her husband alone.
They didnt want to be apart.

It was a lot on her body & her mind.
She didnt care.
She would have done anything for him.

After all these years, they were in love.
They were all each other had.
Now he's alone.
It's sad.

When someone dies I try to understand.
It was her time to rest.
 He will be fine.
He will be with her again, one day.

She is at peace.

My dream home...

This was our first house.
We were 25 & 26.
We had lots of money saved.
Made a choice to build.

It didnt come easy, as nothing does.

He was a bricklayer foreman at the time for a friend.

The hubby had a bright idea to set up a corporation for small jobs
which had made no money yet.

Within a couple weeks of us setting the corporation up & signing the BIG contract his boss (knowing we had no children) asked him to "hold off" cashing just 1 check.
Then it turned into 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 then 6 then 7.

So $1000s later it was time for the house to start.

The hubby quit his job, he wasn't getting paid.
Said our house would be the first job of the new company.
I almost died with anxiety. What did we do?

The hubby did everything he could with the new house.
The foundation, brick, flooring, etc.

We saved nearly $50,000!
The house was HUGE!

He worked like a dog.
He always did except this time it was for himself!

We were SO proud!

The business was off to a great start!
This went on for over 4 years.
We decided to build again.

Put the house up for sale.

I got pregnant with the triplets.

The layout wasnt good for triplets we thought so more incentive to move.

The business slowly declined.

They were born.

The house sold by the time they were 3 months old.

Someone else would enjoy my beautiful kitchen...but I would have a new one.

We moved so we could build again once the business "picked up" again.

It got slower & slower & slower until there was NO MORE work at all.
Thank God we sold our house!

We were in an 1100 sq feet 2 bedroom apartment with triplets.
We are a family of 5 used to living in 3600 sq ft with 5 bedrooms.

NO sight of building for years.

We would figure out how to manage.
This is just what we did.

There was a ranch style condo unit in our complex with a front yard.
It was only 1000 sq ft. We would lose 100 sq ft!

We moved to it. It had a yard for them.

We are healthy! We are happy!

We work really hard for them. We are re-building our businesses.

Holding on to our marriage.

And looking to the future.

A little about me...

I’m 33 yrs old mother of absolutely beautiful & intelligent triplets! They are everything I ever dreamed of & more! I truly believe they are miracles & I was blessed with them & born to be the mother to triplets!

Our journey to them is yet to be revealed but will be in the future.

I live & breathe for them, my focus is creating the greatest life for them hence the reason I have my hand in every pot that I can. I want them to have so much more than I had, they deserve it all!

I love to cook & even tend to feed them organic but I don’t spend my days in the kitchen as it doesn’t make me a better mother than the next.

I am a very expressive person. I am moved by music & truly see it as a form of self expression along with writing.

I'm a very complicated person as you will see.

I have lots of friends which I will talk about on my blog - they may be given different names but I have stories for days about them. I am truly a friend to each one & I’m there whenever they need me. I may not get the same in return always but I’m genuine & remain the same.

On my blog I will be blunt, honest & have a little bit of a fowl mouth sometimes so if this bothers you, you may feel uncomfortable reading my blog.

I’ve been with my husband since we were 14 & 15 yrs old. He’s the best dad in the world, thank goodness. But my marriage is not perfect in fact it has been SO close to over at times its scary. Therefore dont be suprised when we are not having a good day & say it just like it is.

It's just me...hope you enjoy!!!

My book, the dentist & a funeral...

My book...

I've been writing a book since I was a teenager. I have an intense passion for writing and always have. The thing that leads into my writing is my need for expression of my feelings. I'm the person that tells how she feels no matter the situation usually. The only time I find myself holding back is when the children are around. I hide a lot of emotion - especially negative - I even try not to cry in front of them. This comes from my mom. My book is probably going to end up being 2 different ones. I may actually post snipets from it soon.

The dentist...

The babies first trip was today. They did amazing! They did all alone without us by their side. The 3 of them just walked straight back there without hesitation like, "bye mom & dad!" I watched through the mirror as they chatted it up with the staff individually. I watched with a tear in my eye & realized my babies are really big kids now! The dentist complimented how intelligent, well behaved, mannered & confident each of them are. Talk about proud!!!

The privacy laws were supposed to prohibit me from taking any pics...I got a couple, not in the chairs which was my goal! Damn!

A funeral...

Tomorrow's gonna be sad because its the hubby's BF's funeral, ugg...I cant believe I just had to type that. He was only 32 yrs old! So not whats supposed to be happening at this age. He had a heart attack. I have to be strong for my husband. I explained to the babies that tomorrow was the day we had to say goodbye to daddy's friend because he went to be with Jesus forever. Our daughter said, "so he's happy, he's going home?". Wow! Although I know she didnt know what she was saying, it made me tear up.

More tomorrow...

How FABULOUS was Disney on Ice...

So here's how it went...got there & went to the section where our seats were. The lady re-directed us to the next section over for other seats as they were moving people down to closer seats. We were game for that.

When we got in that line there was 2 other families behind us. The lady chose to give them their tickets first, we kind of just stood there like "hello! we were here first!" but we said nothing, not sure if it was our family size or what. As the other 2 families walked away. The lady asked, "do you guys want to sit in the front row?" I said, "yes, please!!!". I was in shock. She gave us the tickets, complimented how cute the children were & complimented their excellent behavior :)

I have to admit our triplets have brought us nothing but good things. They are definitely our good luck charm in life!

On a side note, you would think that we could have escaped the whole are they triplets & the question and answer sessions - NOT! LOL!

I think initially I was more excited than even the children as we walked to our seats. I kept chuckling to myself with excitement. Then we rushed to get their coats off & get seated. Just as soon as we were finishing up the show started. Then their excitement really came out!

It got so loud & the lights were going crazy. We were right there, up close! Mickey Mouse appeared! Then Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, every princess with their prince including Tiana! Boy was that exciting. The name of the show was Let's Celebrate so it went from birthday celebration to holidays & more!

The best part by far was the look of amazement in their eyes. They loved it! I took lots of video & pics. I will add some later!
